Backpacking in the Ouachita backcountry is beautiful, and it is genuinely risky. Cold nights, water crossings, loose rock, wildlife, weather that turns, injuries far from a road, and simple exhaustion are all real. We speak honestly about this because we love the men who come with us.

Fall 7 Rise 8, its organizers, volunteers, and partners are not able to promise your safety, and we do not carry the responsibility of a licensed guiding service. Come prepared, listen on the trail, and take care of the man next to you.
